Undergraduate Accommodation at University of Limerick
The University of Limerick offers on-campus accommodation to over 2,500 students in six attractive village residences all within walking distance of lecture theatres and facilities. Living in residence offers you the opportunity to enjoy your time at university to the full and in the heart of it all.
Why live in residence?
When you live in residence at UL you will have your own private study bedroom equipped with a good size study desk and free access to high speed internet via the UL wired network. You can have your own ensuite in our apartment style residences which affords you greater privacy while you still enjoy the camaraderie of sharing with others. Having overcome the busy transition of first year, we recognise that as a senior student, one of your priorities will be to live with your friends. When you apply for a room in any of the student villages, you can nominate friends to share with you.
Our senior students return year after year for:
Location - you live minutes from lecture theatres, library, sports and recreation facilities
No hidden extras - rental fees include everything from light, heat and refuse to your TV licence
Range of prices - we have a range of accommodation options to suit all budgets
Resident Village Managers - staff living on site means that there is support around the clock
Late reception service - all Village Receptions are open until 10.30pm
Quality of accommodation - Full inventory supplied so that you do not have to go to additional expense
Regular security patrols to keep our communities safe
A professional maintenance service committed to resolving issues within a day
Single semester only available for Co Op students.
Our Village Management Team are committed to delivering the best student living experience for the student community at UL. If you have specific requirements for your accommodation needs, speak to our staff and we will do what we can to make your stay with us worthwhile.
Single Semester Accommodation
Single semester rentals are available to students participating in the Co-Operative Education and Socrates/Study Abroad Programmes. It is worth noting that students who indicate that they wish to stay a full year and subsequently vacate their room at the end of the first semester will forfeit the application deposit and any prepaid rental fees.
Rental fees are paid in advance of each semester. For students staying a full academic year, the first instalment of rental fees will be requested in June and must be paid in July. Due to the short period between CAO offers in August and check in, incoming first year students pay the first rental fee instalment on arrival.
If you are experiencing difficulty paying accommodation rental fees, please contact the Village Manager who will be happy to meet with you.
The €50.00 booking fee you pay at the time of booking is deemed part of your damage deposit, this together with the €200.00 deposit balance which is paid with the first instalment of rental fee fees, shall be held until the end of the term. Any damage or missing items will be assessed by Campus Life Services and the cost of same will be deducted from the damage deposit.
